The Climoor long term climate in Clocaenog, NE Wales, has been running for 20 years. There are summer drought and night-time warming treatments, provided by a retractable roof design, along with control plots. The site is dominated by a heather community over a shallow carbon-rich soil, that experiences very high annual rainfall. There have been many changes in the soil hydrology and physico-chemical properties relating to the treatments, with some small shifts in the plant community. The Centre for Ecology website has more information and a list of the over 60 publications from this site on its dedicated webpage.
